The restaurant industry has been hit hard recently by the recession, skyrocketing food costs, increased meals taxes and sales taxes. Now is the time to pass the Restaurant Rejuvenation Act and make Massachusetts the Brunch Capital of the World.

The RRA will increase employment, income taxes, sales taxes, and meals taxes, without costing the government a single dollar. It will help the restaurant industry, one of our greatest employers, fight the recession

- 10% of the work force is employed by the restaurant industry, this provides waiters and waitresses with larger earning potential.

- Restaurants provide employment for a wide range of ages and education level.

- Restaurants along the state boarders will finally give consumers a reason to come into Massachusetts to spend their money, and not leave.

- Waitstaff can make more in two hours on Sunday than 6 hours on a Monday or Tuesday Night.

- Due to work schedules, families are often limited to going out together on Sunday mornings

- Resorts from the Berkshires to The Cape will maximize their operating hours

- Sports Bars able to do Sunday breakfast as a lead into 17 home town baseball game starting in the one o'clock hour on Sundays and 8 football games doing the same.

Pass the Restaurant Rejuvenation Act before the July 4th holiday. Let's make Massachusetts the brunch capital of the world.
